How to do community meetings; a lecturers perspective

For your own context, write down the answers to the five questions. Do this well in advance so you can perpare for the community meetings early on in the year.

Four W's, one H
In a nutshell you can order the elements you need for a succesful community meeting by using the questions Who? What? When? Where? and How?
Who?
Who to invite? Every participant of the interviews off course, but who else?Local partners of the fieldworkpartner

- Policy makers.
- Local politicians.
What?
- The main element is that students give the results back to the neighbourhood.
- Reflection on process
- Discussions about the results between students, residents and social workers.
When?

Where?
- Find a location in the project neighbourhood.
- The fieldworkpartner is best placed to find a location.
How?
- Make sure there is space for local residents to reflect on the results, but also to contest or complement them.
- The community meeting should be more than presenting the results.
- Dialogue tables where students, professionals and local residents can discuss are important
